The before picture shows a missing lateral incisor (missing since birth) and the patient did not want their adjacent teeth drilled down for a 3 unit bridge . The patient had a dental implant placed and a ceramic crown placed after the healing of the implant was complete . In this series of photos the patient has 4 upper front teeth that are very loose due to gum disease , they have shifted also and exhibit spaces between them . This patient was very self conscious about losing their 4 front teeth and wearing a denture forever to replace them . Our cosmentic dentist recommended that the 4 teeth be replaced with implants and then porcelain crowns would restore their smile . | This is a great example of a smile extreme makeover . Our patient didn't like the color of his teeth , and wanted them very white . After consulting with the patient our cosmetic dentist felt only porcelain veneers would block out the dark color of his natural teeth and produce the desired whitening effect he was looking for .
